What is Architectural Infrastructure™ ?

Our Power Tool for Design Integration.

We observe, ask, listen, and learn. We develop and teach design integration and quality (QA/QC). We gather and apply lessons learned to achieve your business results on your next projects.

Consider:

  • Will your projects benefit from improved integration between your models, specifications, and drawings?
  • Is it time for a fresh set of eyes on your in-house specifications?
  • How will having better specifications help you deliver better information to craftworkers?
  • Is it time to train your firm's next generation of designer/specifiers?
  • Are you ready to win more of the projects that inspire you?
  • What goals will you set to improve your design, construction, and facilities business results?

Helping  you and your company go further.

Our Experience

Value Proposition:

As you may know through a quick online search, there are estimates of the average cost of a single RFI and change during construction, and the average numbers of RFI's and changes on various project types in a given locale.  The value proposition I have for my clients is this: for a fraction of that average total expense,  on most projects I can find, fix, and investigate a significant number of errors and inconsistencies,  which often are "early-warning" indicators of trouble. The benefits you will receive, both tangible and intangible, can be many, many times the cost you would pay to fix them later: you avoid most of the cost, and reap all of the rewards. Every inconsistency we catch and fix together directly contributes to both safeguarding your repute, and improving your bottom line.

Applying an expert eye with a view towards improving

your instruments of service is the first step:

Your service consultation will be tailored to support you

in the best way for you and your team.

Examples? We've got them. These might include:

  • Integrating BIM Standards, Specifications Masters, Drawing Standards, and Markup/Review Systems. This saves you money by leveraging the tools you have already invested in, and ensures your new investment can complement them as much as possible.
  • Design alignment audit. This directly benefits you and your clients, taking a deep look at a particular project and documenting the contracted (and the aspirational!) technical and program requirements side-by-side with the evolving design.
  • Table of Contents (TOC) Audit. A very efficient way to check project health - see link- with direct returns on quality and improving ease of finding information.
  • Team coordination coaching. Learning to speak the language of  each others' disciplines builds rapport and morale.
  • Training staff to collaborate with specifications consultants. Spec writers care about important project aspects few others do - helping your designers understand what and why will go a long way towards their professional development...and more.
